I'm wearing out a lonely glow
I miss you more than I could know
Here I am, here I am
I've got my hand in redemption's side
Whose scars are bigger than these doubts of mine
I'll fit all of these monstrosities inside
and I'll come alive
With my fist down at your feet
I was running out of mysteries
Insecure and incomplete, here I am, here I am,
won't you get me?
My fears have worn me out

-going to cool anglican ch that reminded me of trinity and made me want to go there. but its too far from here to get to without a car.
-going on a free cruise up the yarra river, the river that goes through melbourne city, on a beeeeeeeeeeutiful day.
and this weekend
-going to youth group in melton
-going to 'jowenfest: the festival of fellowship'

apparently i'm feeling a bit insecure at the moment
don't know when next pay cheque will be
don't have a job for next year
haven't finished my degree
don't really feel like doing anything about it
want my mum
want a hug from sarah l
want lunch
aside from that, my ears have been blessed with beautiful tunes, including goldenhorse last night - which was ok. they played for 30mins in a very intimate setting and a fair few of my aus friends even bought their cd. i think i'm owed a commission. then this morning went to hear boyd owen's music recital - my first opera experience. and now that i've had a taste of it i want more! and, i want to learn german. but i guess i better finish what i've started first.

after persuing the slitherer with the skimming net she discovered two long fat goldfish (atleast three times the size of the aforementioned-in-a-previous-post goldfishes).
apparently theres now a small aquarium at home, the home of one of the two goldfish. the other one died after dad accidently water-blasted it. poor fishy.

ingredients:
- 1 L cream
- 1 can condensed milk
- flavouring (jam, chocolate chips, choc sauce, caramel sauce...)
wottodo:
1. beat the cream til thick
2. stir in the condensed milk
3. add the flavour
4. freeze it
in the batch that i made on sunday i used 600 ml of cream, about 300 ml of condensed milk and a jar of jam. but it tastes mainly of condensed milk so perhaps i'll have to work on getting the right proportions next time. i wouldn't add canned fruit 'cause then it will turn icey.
its very rich but yum yum yummy!

Its by a band called ApologetiX - a christian parody band. they re-do lyrics to well known pop songs and christianise them with great humouressness. Some of the hits on my new cd include 'love the jews' parody of 'Love me do' by the beatles and 'smooth grandmama' parody of 'smooth criminal'. I am looking forward to listening to it when i get home from work tonight.

This is how my weekend went:
Friday: After a busy day at work I took a train to a new (for me) part of Melbourne, where the traffic was shocking but the shopping looked great. There I met the principal of South Coast Christian College. He was a friendly chatty guy and he drove me down to Leongatha (near the south coast, directly under the 'b' in 'Melbourne' on the map provided below). It took about 2 hours to get there.
When we arrived I was interviewed by five (gah!) teachers and members of the school board. It felt as though it went well. But sometimes you never can tell. I stayed the night with a teacher from the school.
Saturday/Sunday: I caught the bus back to Melbourne at 7 am. I was sad that I didn't get to check out the town and the people a little more. I arrived back in Melbourne just before 9 and caught the train out to Melton at ten past. Melton is five twelvths of the way to Ballarat (map). I used to live there, remember? From Melton we (M&M Brightwell and Sarah) drove to Swan Hill, 4 hours NNW and on the Victoria side of the Murrary River. I had another interview in Swan Hill on Sunday afternoon for a Christian school there. The people were lovely, the weather was gorgeous (36 deg!) but its only October and it gets stinking hot up there in summer. I think I'd like everything about working in Swan Hill, apart from the fact that its so far from Melbourne. I should find out whether or not they like me this weekend.
I also have two other job interviews this week. One on Wednesday and one on Thursday. One is second interview.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF NEXT YEAR. I know I shouldn't worry and that God's got something up his sleeve. But I have no idea which job I'll choose - if I get to choose. I don't know if its best for me to stay in the same area and teach at the local christian school or if I should go for swan hill where i can see myself having a great teaching experience but getting so so lonely.
Well, whatever happens, i can rest in the fact that i know where to find Pinpandoor.
